Star Wars Illustrated It’s Friday, and that means Update Day. I just didn’t get to send out my newsletter yet, but I will get that out on the weekend.

What there is to show today is a mix of things… first is one of my Star Wars Illustrated Artist Proof cards (spoken for), and then some work I did for a company called Historia, over a year ago.

These were a mix of regular size cards and little “tobacco” sized cards, specifically designed to ruin an illustrator’s eyes at an approximate size of about 1.5 x 2.5 inches. I’m sort of kidding about the eye damage. Well, no not the eye damage, that’s true, but about it being specifically designed for such purpose. I doubt that was the reason. 😛

The set never seems to have been released, but cards have been turning up on Ebay, so if you are looking for very inexpensive cards from a few artists whose work you might enjoy, it might be a great time to check those out. By no means do I endorse this type of thing – creating a set and then just not bothering to let participating artists know what happened but, in this case I (and rumor has it at least several others) were compensated, so the company does indeed have the right to do with the cards as they wish.

I don’t know the whole list of artists, but these artists’ cards have shown up on Ebay thus far: Chris Henderson, Jessica Hickman, Ashleigh Poppelwell, Juan Rosales, Lee Bradley, and myself. The subject matter was very interesting, so it’s a shame the set didn’t happen. If you know of any details about this, do let me know or post in the comments area. I have scans of all my cards and will eventually put them on a page here (my weekends are going to need longer days… chuckle), but two of each size are posted here if anyone is curious.

Happy Weekend! (12 Monkeys season finale tonight!)
