Fantasia

Fantasia

A short Hump Day art update (hump day = mid-week, nothing else…). Cannot show the Chrome Perspective cards yet, but there are dinosaurs, lions, and fireworks… 🙂

Today is the day that the Boba Fett piece will be started. Well, it is already sketched out, but today I start painting, and I’m happy… Star Wars is always fun to paint. I can’t wait for the new movie… It can’t be worse that Phantom Menace. Can it? No… surely not… Well, okay, Menace did have it’s (few) good points – such as the lightsabre duel between Darth Maul, young Obi-Wan, and Qui-Gon Jinn. That really was a great scene… But apart from that, in my humble opinion, much was left to be desired. If nothing else, the Force Awakens promises to offer lots of eye-candy.

Narnia

No, to be honest, I look forward to the whole package, and hope at least one of my kids will tag along with  me to the theatre.

Anyway, back on topic. The Narnia card is second in a series of three, and the dinosaur card is of course from

Fantasia, and is the fifth in an ongoing series. The Fireworks card from Lord of the Rings is also one in a series, this series is being painted on cards from the client, he has had his own set made and so far seems to be taking the acrylic paint quite well.

Lastly, I have started preparing several original paintings done previously for having prints made – short runs only. The base art I did for Perna Studio’s Classic Mythology set last year is one of the images to be made into a print, the painting of Pegasus. Updates on this will be posted as things progress!

Thanks for looking, bon  mercredi.

Allons-y!
