The stories for the Steamy Romance prompts are up here, and I’m ashamed to say I couldn’t contribute this week. I was the guest for giving the prompt, and I had to miss my own! And romance, I’m a sucker for a good love story… But if you have a moment, go have a read while having a coffee break! I will definitely get my revenge on this, though, and try something just a bit torrid, at one point.

But, on the bright side (for me anyway), my fantasy story is coming along, chapter two is done and I’m in the middle of chapter three. I don’t know if it’s a good idea to post them… maybe I will, the worst I can do is bore you all to death. All two of you… 🙂 🙂 Seriously, I am having a good time with it. This is my third book – no, the other two are not published and will never be, they are… um, gone. Let’s just leave it at that….

My theory this time around is, if I can keep my own interest way up in the book – at least for the first draft – it ought to bode well for it. It was not that way for the other two. And I have tools this time: the theme of the story, and the ballpark ending. A first, and it is a great experience, like having a GPS in my manuscript– I don’t know the exact road I’m taking, but the tools are guiding my in a direction.

And in last news, I’m a squeaky little fangirl today! I’ve been sent an image by a trading card collector who pulled my basecard painting, scanned it, and sent me the front and back image! Topps, the trading card company, has just released Star Wars Galaxy 7, and I am one of the artists doing sketch cards for that set. For the first time, I’m also one of the few artists who contributed a painting to be used as a printed card. And that, I can tell you, is pretty cool for someone who collected Star Wars cards waaaaaaaaaay back in 1978 after the first, original, Star Wars movie came out. I never thought I’d get the chance to do artwork for a set…  🙂

Those are my caffeine-induced thoughts for the day, as I get back to drawing other stuff. And planning chapter four as I paint. And chapter five. Oh and six… ah, the nasty chapter six…
