For Perna Studio’s Classic Mythology 2 trading card set, I had the opportunity to create a card based on horses!

Celtic Mythology – Epona was a Goddess of Horses and Motherhood. She was particularly a goddess of fertility, as shown by her attributes of a patera, cornucopia, ears of grain and the presence of foals in some sculptures suggested that the goddess and her horses were leaders of the soul in the after-life ride.

The original artwork is 8 x 10 inches, painted with acrylic paint on illustration board, and is in a private collection.
