It has been a while…! More work came in (yay), and some new feelers have been sent out. I received some feedback from some pro publishers, and that REALLY made my day, and made the fact that I lost out on a brand new gig, things were not all that bad. For one, I made the short list – and I still boast about that – and two, though not all the feedback was good, none of it was bad. In fact, most of it was good. And I may get a second chance at that gig in the future!
So I still love my job.
And it’s Friday…! I think I’m happy… Feels like I didn’t get as much done this week as I wanted, but I almost always feel that way. And actually I did get ahead. I have quite a number of commissions, and (I’m being completely honest here, I’m not being cheap) lately I enjoy commissions more and more. I learn something from each and every card or painting, whether it be the way I use the paint, or another color recipe, or a different way to create mood – I learn something. That makes me happy.
I can also announce that iCardz has asked me to create twenty chase cards for the America at Was: Brothers in Arms memorial trading card set. These twenty cards will be fully painted in acrylic, and will be posted on my website as they are approved for posting. Two of the twenty are done so far.
NaNoWriMo has started. I’d wanted to participate and even set up my NaNo account, but I’m not sure it will happen. I’m still continuing my writing project though, and I love it. Darn lot of work, but I love it.
That’s it for this time. I feel the need to spew some geekery, but I just don’t have moments… I might be spewing about Blazing Saddles next go-around… lol…
Until next time, don’t forget to lock the sonic screwdriver… 🙂
