Bilbo Baggins, available in the Rabid Horse store.

February is drawing (so to speak) to a close, and I’m not sorry to see it leave. This has been, personally, a rough month. Things have happened to two members of my family, and they are having a bad time of it. These event have, admittedly, slowed me down a bit.

But things will get better, people are amazingly resilient, and these two people in particular have a strong family support system. Family, emotions, these are things important to everyone, and I count myself as immensely fortunate in being able to express myself and my feelings through line, color, paint ridges (that refuse to scan nicely)… I honestly don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t draw.

My sketchbook will be very busy in June as I, and my family, take a short trip through Denmark and France. The need to just throw marks on paper is very strong these days, marks and watercolor just thrown down any way it comes out, with no thought to how it turns out.

For now, a few more pieces are complete, with several more on the way, including a pony, Disney, a landscape painting, and more. My store has a few cards in stock (including a Bilbo Baggins card), as well as the listings for two Star Wars cards on Ebay – one from Journey to the Force Awakens, and one from The Force Awakens 1. I only have 3 Force Awakens 1 artist proof cards left.
